I spent some quality time with my ball winder last night and loved the way the yarn looked all rolled , so I had to post it. Most if it is for the women in my class, who would otherwise wind by hand (Keep in mind all the taupe/tan yarn is cobweb weight acrylic - can you imagine how long that would take by hand?) However the 7 skeins of sock yarn to the far left are for me. This will keep me in yarn for quite a while!
Happy Knitting!!

Sock Yarn! my favorite. I like the way yarn looks rolled up into a cake too. and you couldn't pay me to roll up cobweb or lace weight yarn by hand. whew, I'm getting palpitations just thinking about it.
Those ball winders are the best! I have yet to invest in one......I just have my lys do mine.....but if I did.......oh how fun it would be! :)
I love a good ball winder session. At the shop I work at, we have an electric one and it is AMAZING.
I love my ball winder and just love the way the little yarn cakes look all wound up. Looks like you've got some great yarns to choose from.
sometimes I get crazed and want to wind all my balls of yarn to match :) I love the look of the little yarn cake :)
No matter how much I use my ballwinder it will always, always amaze me. I could probably work in a yarn store just to sit and wind peoples yarn alone.
yay for ballwinders! EZ says always roll them loose or your garment will shrink.... (just read that today).
