Back from Omaha...

We made a surprise trip to Omaha to surprise my MIL on her 77th birthday. It was the first time ever that she had had all four of her boys, their wives, kids, grandkids and great-grandkids together in one place. Thankfully, we did not give her a heart attack! And she really was thrilled. A month after we all had our plane tickets, MIL was diagnosed with breast cancer, so it really was nice to get to see her and give her support before she starts treatment. (Prognosis is good, but we are still sending lots of thoughts and prayers her way.) Mr.sunneshine and I got to spend two days with our grandson, who is darling and really mellow for a two year old! (And I am thinking that there may be a cabled cardigan sweater under the christmas tree for the wee one...) Enjoy photos of the little one and his window and door fetish - open, close, open, peak-a-boo, close, open, close....

And true story, while we were there a cattle truck overturned and the freeway was closed for over two hours while they were rounding up errant cattle - hehehee! Only in Nebraska!

I finished one set of my SFS socks, and am closing in on the second set - yippee!! There will be knitting photos soon....

Happy Knitting!!
