more yarn rolling

I posted my trade on the other blog - so here is the yarn from my stash that I rolled this morning to start working on small christmas projects for family and friends. There are 6 skeins of organic cotton for hats probably -- but I may try a pair of knucks. I can't decide if they would be really cool or really horrible! Or they may stretch too much!! Then there is the cotton Wool in the Woods that I am going to mix with the blue alpaca/silk for the rouched scarf, and 3 plus skeins of lorna's laces for hats and knucks. I love all my friends and family, but know better then to give away large projects that I have spent soooo much time on. They are rarely properly appreciated -- in my opinion.

I can't believe that I am saying this, but I found a posting on LionBrand.com that I am loving! It is a cashmere scarf with ruffles. I am going to have to order the yarn online and try it - because of course my local michaels (the only store around that carries lion's brand) will not stock the ruffles tape yarn or the lions brand cashmere blend (which I have to say, knits up quite nicely!)
Maybe I'll make one for my SP9 pal -- so fun to say that on this blog since it is my secret one!

Off to my real job, to support my knitting habit!!

problem? me, really?

So my local yarn store was having a huge sale - it was a time sale; from 7-8 40% off, 8-9 30%, ect. Then with a donation of three cans of food, you could get an extra 15% off the total. So of course, I am there at 7 am on the dot, with my food donation and this is what I came up with! Yikes! I haven't even thought about how I am going to get these to fit in my stash boxes -- for right now they will stay at the store. I need to go on a yarn diet, so this was my last big splurge till I get to earth friendly yarns in Seattle. And starting next month, I will have to be on yarn hiatus, so that we can buy a house. They were just such great yarns at a little over 50% off - I could not resist! I have four market bags, four knucks, an entraloc scarf, a cardigan, 15 or so hats and a couple skeins that I needed but I am not sure what for . . . Does it really mean that I have a yarn problem? And if I do, aren't there a lot worse problems that I could possibly have? I am not ready for yarn re-hab . . . yet!

My honey

On the lighter side, my husband! He makes me smile and laugh and I love him very much! This was after a friend's wedding, we were playing around and I wanted a picture of us with my new short hair! I don't think it turned out too badly! So here's to you sweetie!! Thanks for keeping me on the lighter side!!
