My skull stocking is finished! I am quite happy with it! Its a little wonky, but that was truly on purpose - however if I do it again, I would adjust the crossbones so they are a little to the left - about 5 stitches - and about three rows lower. I am really happy with the stocking shape - and this was the tester for the dog stockings that I have added to the stocking list....
The current tally:
8 people stockings - 4 done/4 to go (one cast on)
2 dog stockings - 2 to go
1 skull stocking - done
And just for scale, I put the smaller skull stocking next to one of the Stockings that Ate Christmas (which all y'all seem to think are normal size - how many presents do you get??) Yep, its kinda funny....
And just on a happy side note - The Pilchuck Glass School's auction is coming up and my dad has a piece in the auction. I am very proud! Its amazing company to be in!! You can see his piece by following this link - and there is a lot of other amazing art in the catalog, if you care to browse!
Happy Knitting!!

It looks awesome!! My hubby would probably try to steal it for himself! My stockings are bought from the store and seem to be closer to your dog sized/small skull stocking.
love the stocking! May have to make these for hubby, daughter and myself. Am thinking xmas colors though. Would so fit our family!
lol, my 15 year old was the last one on the elliptical last night working out. When i went to get on it this afternoon i pressed play on the dvd and the rocky horror picture show popped on. Lol, she is so my daughter!
That is such an honor for your dad! They are very particular and how wonderful! Looked beautiful...i'd be proud as well!
Awesome. It's already been said but it can be said again, love the skulls. Freakin' awesome!
Love the skull stocking!
I'll have to get out my stockings and measure them for you but I know they're large. It takes quite a bit to fill them and we like it that way!
Oh, I love it! those skulls are terrific. Now, where's mine?
rawrsome! i'm so glad you're back to regular posting again.
The stockings are incredible!! (if I say awesome again, would that be redundant?) I am in awe that you can knit items of such complexity so quickly.
Love the picture of your garden harvest in the previous post. We should compare notes...we had quite a haul of peppers from my garden this year and I spent an entire Saturday making salsa and jalapeno sauce (which is DA BOMB, btw). I took pictures to blog it but never got around to it..
